History of the cultural entomology of fireflies: A historical review of Proceedings of the Japan Association for Fireflies Research
The number of articles on the cultural entomology of fireflies published in Zenkoku Hotaru Kenkyukai-shi (Proceedings of the Japan Association for Fireflies Research) has increased since the late 1990s. Since the Convention on Biological Diversity Strategy came into effect in 1993, the recognition of the importance of biological diversity has been enhanced, which may have led to the increase of number of articles on the cultural entomology of fireflies.
全国ホタル研究会誌において，ホタルの文化昆虫学が議論されるようになってきたのは，1995年に日本が生物多様性条約を締結した頃からであることを明らかにした。
本研究内容は，第５１回全国ホタル研究会 北海道稚内・豊富大会で発表された。
